Leadership as a Practice. 

This workshop is for anyone in a leadership position or looking to lead. We will explore how yogic concepts and practices can be applied to leadership. It is not limited to yoga teachers.

The yoga practice is an effective tool for greater personal understanding. It increases our understanding of the ourselves and others. It is also powerful tool for leadership. Using yogic concepts helps make us more effective, compassionate and dynamic leaders.

In this workshop we will learn how to turn our job into an extension of our yoga practice. We will also explore how our practice helps us become better leaders. Whether you are already a leader or looking to lead, this workshop will help you gain clarity and focus. It will help you define your goals and directions and provide you with a community of like-minded, thoughtful leaders.

The workshop is comprised of 5 modules:

  1. Leadership as a Practice

  2. The Value of Failure

  3. Bringing People Together

  4. Leadership as Service/Political Action

  5. Final Presentations

Format: online

Each module is 1 week long and consists of:

  • Online 60-minute yoga practices/meditations

  • Group conference call - Call in from home! (Tuesdays, 8:00 - 10:00p EST)

  • Online discussion groups

  • Reading assignments

  • Exercises, presentations (all exercises are self-paced. Presentations are submitted the 6th week to provide time for group feedback and engagement.)  

*Conference calls will be recorded. If you can not make the call, a copy will be uploaded to the learning platform for you to watch at your convenience.
