lisa benner, subtle body/sadhana e-ryt 500 An actor, mover and dedicated breather, the moment I was introduced to yoga, I knew it was for me.  I came to yoga shortly after I discovered pilates, and found I was able to use both to correct and/or improve different physical issues, including chronic headaches.  For a long while I practiced both, but as I experienced the personal transformations it brought, yoga won my heart. I graduated from Sonic Yoga’s 200 hour Teacher Training program, Hathavidya’s 500 hour training, and Bread & Yoga’s prenatal program.  I am a Registered Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance as E-RYT 500 and Pre-Natal. I teach at various locations around NYC and am the studio manager for Sonic Yoga. I am also an assistant director for Hathavidya and co-teach teacher  trainings at the 200 and 500 hour level (www.hathavidya.com ). I teach from the Hatha philosophy in the Vinyasa style, creating each class on a theme, and incorporating pranayama, mantra and meditation.  Strong attention is given to alignment. I am greatly honored to be able to share the transformations that yoga brings, to teach and to continue to learn.  Many thanks to my precious teachers, including Will Duprey, Susan Duprey, Johanna Bell, Lauren Hanna and Jonathan Fields.
