I have a scheduling conflict that means I will miss a class. How do I make-up the time?

You have a year from the time you enroll to make up lost hours. Hours can be made up by:

  • Attending a meeting at a future session

  • Attend regularly scheduled sample classes/information sessions

  • Enroll in a TSY workshop

  • Attend class/private with our teachers (for a maximum of six (6) hours).

What are your class sizes?

We are dedicated to keeping our trainings small therefore, we will never have more than 30 students per training. However, we generally close each 200hr training at around 12-14 people and each 300hr training at 8-10 people. Our trainings do tend to fill so we recommend you apply as soon as possible.

The program is called Three Sisters - is it only for women?

No - absolutely not. We picked the name because of the Native American practice of planting the "three sisters" crops; beans, corn and squash together. These three distinctly different crops, work together, providing their unique and special qualities, to create optimal conditions for growth. To read more about this practice, click here.

We are always looking for ways to improve and expand our curriculum to be more inclusive, diverse, expansive and welcoming.

Three Sisters Yoga does not discriminate on the basis of race, creed, color, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender expression, age, height, weight, physical or mental ability, veteran status, military obligations, and marital status.

What style of yoga do you teach?

From an asana perspective, we are basically a vinyasa studio and will teach you how to construct and teach vinyasa style classes. However, we will also teach you how to break away from vinyasa when necessary and how to modify your classes so that you are well equipped to teach.

From a lineage perspective, we are “egalitarian” and aim to present a broad range of yogic thought for our students. All of our teachers have additional training in either a style or lineage (Kundalini, Hatha, Iyengar, Bhakti, etc.) that will greatly further your understanding of the history, philosophy and practice of yoga.
